Imorgon, den 10 september \u00e4r det den internationella suicidpreventiva dagen. En dag vars syfte \u00e4r att lyfta fr\u00e5gan om suicid och s\u00e4tta arbetet med att f\u00f6rhindra sj\u00e4lvmord p\u00e5 agendan. Bj\u00f6rn Eklund, SPES kommunikat\u00f6r har skrivit en text till\u00e4gnad den h\u00e4r dagen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I juli 2015 tog min lillasyster Helena sitt liv. En varm, omt\u00e4nksam, kreativ och ganska blyg trettio\u00e5ring som brann f\u00f6r djur, natur och milj\u00f6. Hon var den absolut sista jag trodde jag skulle mista p\u00e5 detta s\u00e4tt och det blev n\u00e5got som f\u00f6r\u00e4ndrade mitt liv. N\u00e4r det h\u00e4nde trodde jag att sj\u00e4lvmord var exceptionellt ovanligt, n\u00e5got som drabbar n\u00e5gra f\u00e5. Absolut inte oss. Inte v\u00e5r familj.\r\n\r\nSverige g\u00e5r mot ett val. Trots kriget i Europa och den eskalerande klimatkrisen antas lag och ordning bli den viktigaste valfr\u00e5gan. P\u00e5 var och varannan stolpe sitter plakat som skriker om fler poliser och h\u00e5rdare straff. Prevention av allvarliga brott och kanske framf\u00f6rallt lagf\u00f6rande och straff \u00e4r fr\u00e5gor som engagerar. Inte minst det d\u00f6dliga v\u00e5ldet.\r\n\r\nSamtidigt \u00e4r \u00f6ver 90 % av det d\u00f6dliga v\u00e5ldet i Sverige riktat mot det egna jaget, av m\u00e4nniskor som inte st\u00e5r ut med att leva. 113 personer avled till f\u00f6ljd av annans yttre v\u00e5ld under f\u00f6rra \u00e5ret. N\u00e4stan elva g\u00e5nger s\u00e5 m\u00e5nga, 1 226, dog i konstaterade suicid. F\u00f6r sj\u00e4lvmord finns dessutom ett betydligt st\u00f6rre m\u00f6rkertal, och r\u00e4knar vi in de s\u00e5 kallade \u201dos\u00e4kra\u201d suiciden s\u00e5 f\u00e5r vi justera siffrorna till 1 505 \u2013 drygt fyra personer om dagen. Man kan fr\u00e5ga sig varf\u00f6r inte detta samh\u00e4llsproblem blir en valfr\u00e5ga, trots att det drabbar alla grupper i samh\u00e4llet.\r\n\r\nD\u00f6dstalen \u00e4r dock bara toppen av ett isberg. L\u00e5ngt m\u00e5nga fler g\u00f6r f\u00f6rs\u00f6k eller k\u00e4mpar \u00e5terkommande med egna sj\u00e4lvmordstankar. Anh\u00f6riga lever med gnagande oro dygnets alla timmar. Och n\u00e4r n\u00e5gon d\u00f6r flyttar sm\u00e4rtan vidare. Suicid \u00e4r ett trauma f\u00f6r de som l\u00e4mnas kvar, n\u00e5got som delar hela livet i ett f\u00f6re och ett efter. Sorgen rymmer ofta lika m\u00e5nga sv\u00e5ra k\u00e4nslor som obesvarade fr\u00e5gor. M\u00e5nga efterlevande k\u00e4mpar med PTSD, depression, \u00e5ngest eller egna suicidala reaktioner. P\u00e5 engelska talar man om efterlevande som \u201dsuicide survivors\u201d.\r\n\r\nSamtidigt \u00e4r sorgen efter suicid ocks\u00e5 en sorg m\u00e5nga blir v\u00e4ldigt ensamma i. Dels f\u00f6r att sj\u00e4lvmord fortfarande \u00e4r en skr\u00e4mmande och stigmatiserad fr\u00e5ga, men ocks\u00e5 f\u00f6r att det \u00e4r sv\u00e5rt att relatera till f\u00f6r den som inte sj\u00e4lv \u00e4r drabbad. Samh\u00e4llets intresse eller f\u00f6rst\u00e5else f\u00f6r st\u00f6d till efterlevande har genom \u00e5ren varit \u00e4n mer bristf\u00e4lligt \u00e4n f\u00f6r suicidprevention. St\u00f6det till drabbade har ist\u00e4llet kommit att utvecklas och bedrivas av de drabbade sj\u00e4lva. Fr\u00e5n en \u00f6verlevare till en annan, det vi ofta kallar peer support. I Sverige \u00e4r det framf\u00f6rallt Riksf\u00f6rbundet SPES som organiserat detta egenerfarna st\u00f6d.\n\nJag hade tur och blev snabbt tipsad om SPES samtalsgrupper n\u00e4r Helena dog. Jag ville aldrig g\u00e5 hem fr\u00e5n de tr\u00e4ffarna. D\u00e4r satt andra som k\u00e4mpade med samma fr\u00e5gor som jag, samma upplevelse av att ha varit otillr\u00e4ckliga, samma totala vilsenhet inf\u00f6r framtiden. I rummet br\u00f6t vi tillsammans stigmat och ensamheten i traumat. Hj\u00e4lptes \u00e5t att s\u00e4tta ord p\u00e5 och f\u00f6rst\u00e5 det vi varit med om. Det var mycket gr\u00e5t \u2013 och n\u00e4r gr\u00e5ten inte r\u00e4ckte till skrattade vi ocks\u00e5 en hel del. \u00c5t hur absurt livet kan vara och hur sorgen v\u00e4nde ut och in p\u00e5 allt fr\u00e5n tidsbegrepp till minne, koncentration och andra kognitiva f\u00f6rm\u00e5gor. Och i m\u00f6tet med andra syskon och f\u00f6r\u00e4ldrar hittad jag hopp om framtiden. Att vi ocks\u00e5 skulle uppleva mening och gl\u00e4dje igen.\r\n\r\nIdag har jag ett v\u00e4ldigt gott liv. Min sorg \u00e4r en del av det livet, men den kv\u00e4ver mig inte l\u00e4ngre. Jag upplever ocks\u00e5 att jag har nya perspektiv p\u00e5 livet. Att jag har l\u00e4ttare att sortera vad som \u00e4r viktigt och blivit b\u00e4ttre p\u00e5 att m\u00f6ta andra som har det sv\u00e5rt.
